We're expanding BrandCat's trademark coverage again.
BrandCat now supports trademark monitoring from the Bulgarian Patent Office (BGIPO).
This addition was driven directly by requests from our users, and it comes with an important improvement: translated trademark data for non-English records.
A Small but Important Detail
BGIPO trademark records often include fields in Bulgarian (Cyrillic script), particularly:
- applicant names
- owner names
- other registry-provided details
While this data is accurate, it can slow down review if you don't can't read the Cyrillic.
BrandCat now displays translated versions of these fields alongside the original text, so you can immediately understand who is behind a trademark without leaving the platform.

In the example above:
- The original Bulgarian name is preserved
- The translated version is shown directly next to it
This keeps the legal record intact while making the data usable.
Why This Matters
Trademark monitoring across multiple jurisdictions often involves:

- inconsistent formatting across registries
Without normalization, reviewing results becomes slow and error-prone.
With translated fields:
- you can scan results faster
- compare owners across jurisdictions more easily
