BrandCat Adds Italy UIBM Trademark Monitoring

BrandCat now includes trademark monitoring for Italy through the Ufficio Italiano Brevetti e Marchi (UIBM).

Italy has a substantial national trademark system of its own. In 2025, UIBM reported 68,792 trademark registration and renewal applications, including almost 46,000 new trademark applications. The office also reported 34,762 new trademark registrations, while 74% of new applications were filed online.

Italian national filings are separate from EU trademarks filed through EUIPO and international Madrid registrations, so UIBM adds the national layer to BrandCat's European coverage.

UIBM can now be selected alongside the rest of BrandCat's trademark-office coverage.

Results show the trademark, owner, representative, Nice classes, application or registration number, filing date, status, and available Goods & Services data. Italian records are normalized into the same BrandCat format used for other offices, with English translations added where available to make first-pass review easier.

Depending on the record, BrandCat can show application and registration numbers, application, registration and expiry dates, owner and representative details, Nice classes, status, and Goods & Services text. Original Italian wording remains available alongside normalized and translated English fields where available.
